A productive sensitisation session was recently held on the 13th August 2025 with HR directors/from key institutions, including the Seychelles Defence Force, the Police Department, the National Council for Children (NCC), the Ministry of Health, and the Public Service Bureau (PSB). The session aimed to raise awareness among HR leaders on current regulatory requirements and expectations from the Health Professionals Council (HPC).

Presentations were delivered by the HPC Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Chief Allied Health Officer (CAHO), and the Head of the Legal, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME) Subcommittee. The session also fostered collaboration between HR departments and the Council to enhance compliance and uphold professional standards, while offering an open platform for dialogue, feedback, and shared solutions regarding the engagement of allied health professionals.

The discussions were engaging and insightful, with valuable exchanges and ideas. Recommendations were well received, and the call for strengthened partnerships between HR departments and the Council was welcomed by all present. This initiative is expected to contribute meaningfully to supporting Allied Health Professionals and maintaining high standards in the sector.

We sincerely thank all who attended and contributed to the success of this important initiative, which we believe will help support and strengthen professional practice in the all the sectors.
