As part of its mandate to uphold the highest possible standards, the HPC considers it paramount for its registrants to stay abreast of current development within their fields through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and to also maintain and submit a portfolio upon re-registration. This is with the aim that registrants continue to be competent and remain engaged in their professional careers.

It is with this in mind that the HPC has included a CPD platform here so that registrants are able to access some contents that may be of benefit to their professional development and/or careers. However, it remains the responsiblity of the registrants to access appropriate CPD content and  also to ensure that CPD content accessed are related to their field/cadres.

CPD ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE YEAR 2024

To facilitate learning and continuous professional development amongst Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), monthly CPD has been planned for the year 2024. The CPD session will be done every 3rd Friday of the month. This will be an additional platform for Allied Health Professionals to share information amongst themselves and with other health professionals.

The 1st CPD has been scheduled for Friday 19th January 2024.

Venue: Conference Room, Diagnostic Centre

This session will provide insight on the term ‘grief’ and ‘bereavement’ including their management

2.Performance Management: Setting of objectives

Presenter: Miss. Helen Marie, HR Development Officer – MOH

Are you setting SMART performance objectives? What are the possible challenges faced when objectives are not SMART? This session will provide understanding on how to set SMART objectives. Reference will be made to the performance contract.

3.Work Ethics

Presenter: Mrs. Sylvianne Lafleur Director Human Resource Development – HCA

This session will cover various issues related to ethics in the workplace.
